The Path Marker Tool by outonome.com is a simple and intuitive tool designed for hikers and all outdoor enthusiasts. It allows you to easily import GPX files, view your tracks on an interactive map, and automatically discover points of interest along your path, such as water points, shelters, rest stops, caves, and other essential elements. With its modern and user-friendly interface, you can customize your navigation experience and quickly access the necessary information for a well-prepared adventure!
To take full advantage of this service, you must either subscribe to a specific itinerary on our site, or opt for the full site access subscription.
How to Use the Path Marker Tool ?
You can import only GPX files, one at a time. Please wait for each file to load onto the map. During the import process, you will see an informational popup and a success or error popup indicating whether the file was loaded successfully. Following this, a second loading phase will search for all markers around your track. The search radius is determined by the Marker Search Radius parameter, which you should set before importing the file (see how it works below). To delete a waypoint, right-click on it. Multiple maps are available for your use. If you wish to access additional maps that we cannot integrate, please visit our Maps page.
You can download the GPX file that includes everything you have imported, edited, and any automatic markers added based on your selections. Please note that refreshing the page will reset all changes made.
You can select an export compatibility based on where you plan to use your newly downloaded file with the added markers. This ensures that the GPX file will work seamlessly with the chosen application, such as Outonome.com or VisuGPX.
About Marker Search Radius: This parameter corresponds to the radius around the tracks present in your imported file. It searches for all markers within the defined radius along the tracks. The larger the radius, the more distant markers from your tracks you will get. The radius value is in the distance of latitude and longitude coordinates.
